We started working with diamond when Barney was 12 weeks old! Almost 3 years ago now. We noticed from a young age that he was showing resource guarding behaviours (trying to bite us when taking things like plastic, socks, and food out of his mouth). Diamond educated & prepared us so well for this, knowing that you can’t just grow out of the resource guarding gene, she helped us improve his obedience so that we could work around it and live safely together. We worked especially hard on his “out” command and recall skills!
He has improved so much & I honestly don’t know if we would have been able to keep Barney without the training diamond has given us.
Barney has attended many walk & train sessions (which has helped with his socialising with dogs so much), lots of 1:1 sessions where we work on his obedience skills, as well as a few in home sessions to teach the rest of my family how to train him properly too!
Couldn’t recommend diamond & her team enough!!! – Paige.

“Diamond from balanced k9 training has been absolutely amazing. I started with my 2 older dachshunds and have now got our 2 puppies training with her. She is clear with instructions, and her training steps are easy to follow.
All 4 of my dogs have improved 100% She is so caring and is always there for a chat if you need help in between sessions.
Bringing my mum along who is in her late 60’s diamond has been so accommodating with adjusting the training to suit her as well. I can’t recommend diamond enough to anyone who wants a dog trainer”. – Cat.

“Having grown up with many small terrier breeds over the years, I was a little nervous when we got our first large dog breed, a rottweiler, just over 4 years ago. I was determined to be a confident and in-control owner, but I also wanted to make sure Rocky was a good representative for a breed that carries a lot of stigma, so finding the RIGHT trainer was important to me.
I came across Balanced K9 training after stumbling across a video of Diamond training with her own Rottie and reached out when Rocky was around 12 weeks old to start the puppy program. I had never done any 1-1 dog training in the past but quickly saw the incredible benefit and positive results – Rocky was loose-lead walking and doing advanced obedience literally within a couple of sessions, and almost anyone who saw him in action would comment on his behaviour.
That is not to say Rocky is perfect – like every animal he has had his moments, BUT the enormous benefit of ongoing training is the ability to deal with these as they come up and not to let them fester and create ongoing problems. I love the fact I can message the team almost any time with questions and know I will get a response and the support I may need!
Two and a half years ago we added a golden lab to our family, when we felt confident Rocky would be a good influence on a new pup! The reality is before I had embarked on my training journey with Rocky I probably would have trained our Lab in a similar way to our terriers – perhaps a couple of group sessions, normal walking and very basic obedience – however thanks to Balanced K9 training I implemented almost the exact same regime I had learned, and with their support have been so lucky to have two fantastic dogs that I am confident can behave in almost any situation, around anyone.
Today, I alternate my dogs for weekly walk & train sessions with the Balanced K9 team and I plan to continue for the lifetime of my pups! (and for any new ones that may join the family one day!) I am so grateful I saw that video 4 years ago – I genuinely feel I am a better dog owner for the experience I have had in training my dogs with this awesome team!
My final point – having grown up with dogs my whole life I quite honestly wasn’t expecting to learn as many new things as I did when I started this training journey with my rottie. One of the most positive things, for me personally, is the confidence I have gained around dogs, particularly large breeds, and I am super grateful for that and SO much more”. – Angela.

“Our beautiful mini fox terrier Olive was a nervous, anxious and reactive 8-week-old puppy when we got her. Puppy school and another trainer made no difference whatsoever. I couldn’t walk her on a lead or have her anywhere near other dogs without her lunging and barking.
With her immeasurable knowledge, Diamond has transformed Olive into a well-behaved puppy that can now be taken on walks and into situations that previously would have been impossible.
Diamond has built Olive’s confidence in venturing into the outside world and greatly improved her compliance with simple orders. Olive will sit, wait at the open door until I say “free”, drop, stand & heel on command.
Olive loves her weekly training sessions with Diamond and often has a nap immediately after coming home. I can tell that the training Olive is receiving is allowing her to grow into a gentle, healthy dog that strangers won’t be wary of.
I have personally witnessed Olive be trained alongside much bigger dogs and stay calm, which on its own is a huge testament to how far she has come since the seemingly untameable puppy we first met.
I’ll be forever grateful that I found Diamond at K9 Balanced Training and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to see genuine results.
Best decision I ever made!” – Kerry.

“Leia was an energetic puppy but being an anxious girl and following a tough situation where she was attacked by a bigger dog during her teenage months, she became fearful and reactive to some other dogs.
She needed a bit of help to develop confidence, improve her loose lead walking, socialising and a touch up with her manners and basic obedience (drop stays, sit stays etc). We have been seeing Diamond and her team for a couple of years now on and off and she has improved so much.
We have been able to take her off lead for hikes, her lead walks are now much more consistent and pleasureable for us and Leia, and her obedience is now great and we have confidence when we are out in public”. – Alice

“Luther has been training with Diamond ( Balance K9 Training) for about 3years now
When he first started he was very anti social,re-active and didn’t make friends easily, as well as jumping at us when we went outside.
We now can walk him and train him with no aggression towards other dogs.
He’s now a big cuddly bear! We are now working on his recall
Can’t thank Diamond and her crew enough for all the work they have done with our beautiful Luther”.

“Diamond has completely changed my perspective on dog behaviour and training. She has been an absolute godsend for me and my Golden Retriever.
Her ability to help me grow my nervous, anxious and scared puppy into a fully functioning dog who has discipline, respect for my command and who’s anxiety has completely gone, is extraordinary.
We are both so excited for training sessions, and both look forward to showing “Aunty” Diamond all the things we work on in the months between our sessions.
Diamond’s love for what she does truely shows in her work. Her patience and understanding is top notch… I cannot recommend Balanced K9 Training highly enough to anyone who wishes to have the best dog they can”. – Vanessa

“I stumbled onto Balanced K9 Training just before I picked up my Staffy, Pax, as a pup.. two years ago now.. from even before our first session, Diamond had us out socialising with places and noises..
Diamond has so much experience and knowledge of dog behaviour, it’s amazing..
Both Diamond and Ruby are extremely professional and so very friendly..
My boy and I both look forward to our one on one training sessions and Pax’s walk and train sessions..
From simple techniques like loose lead walking to more involved instruction for heel work and eventual off lead walking, to learning the odd trick.. You can’t go wrong.
I can’t recommend Balanced K9 Training enough”. – Sam

“Diamond is an amazing trainer and coach. I have a fairly good knowledge base around dog training however I was struggling to bring it all together and implement the knowledge into practice. Diamond has been able to help me link all the pieces together and put them into practice.
She is kind and supportive but also is no BS. She tells you what you need to hear to get the most out of you and your dog. I have a reactive highly aroused dog and after a few sessions I am now able to walk my dog past other dogs and he stays engaged with me and calm.
He is a completely different dog in the best way! He’s happy and confident and can now handle being put under stress when around other dogs without reacting and finally I actually enjoy taking him on walks!! ” – Jess.
